As Winter turns to Spring the weather isn’t the only thing warming up the streets. That’s because Block Exchange is back at it again with the release of The Hierarchy on Block Exchange Ent.
This time around RH Bless, Duss Smittoooo and the rest of the Block Exchange camp have dropped a 15-track LP laden with dynamic lyricism, wordplay and production. Among the tracks that will keep listener’s heads nodding is “I Don’t See Em” where Bless and Smittoooo are accompanied on the song by The Fresh Prince of New York, Push Montana. The three address so-called “movers-and-shakers” whose presences are never felt at hip hop venues.
On the song “Burn Burn Burn” R.O.C.C.A. joins Smitty and Bless to torch rappers for sport, while Cess Wonder and Preech makes their appearances alongside Bless and showcases their moxie on “Sway.” Chippa Blue also makes cameos throughout the album.
With production from Trakdealaz, Cannibus Club, Hypnotist Beats and others, The Hierarchy showcases the abundance of talent that is Block Exchange. Chances are if you’re looking for “real” hip hop, its right here.
The Hierarchy foreshadows the new wave of hip hop talent ripping up the game – beware the ides of March.
